Robert's Latest Interactions
All of our classmates are important to us and seeing or hearing of any of them passing is so painful. However, we don't know all of them as close as some. I knew Bob particularly well as I served on the Football Team's Manager Staff with one of my other best friends and classmates, Bob Franks, along with my brother Chuck '73 and we had so much fun supporting the team and Bob Carter was the "heart" of that team! He was a super guy, football player, and classmate! God Bless you, My Good friend!
Very Respectfully,
Bob Freniere '72
Dear Cynthia: I hope this message finds you and your family doing very well indeed. I am not on this website near enough to follow up on things. Kathi Russel-Rader and I are great friends, and she is always telling me to check-in. I noticed you said you were in Mrs. Johnson's class the day JFK was assassinated. I wasn't at Central Elementary yet but would be the next year (my father was in the service and we were transferred from Warner Robins AFB GA (where I was when JFK was killed). I have always felt Mrs. Johnson was my ALL-TIME FAVORITE TEACHER-EVER! I used to run Cross-Country with her son Tyler, so I stayed in touch that way until I went off to The Citadel and then my own 30 year military career. I am writing a memoir and was hoping you might know what happened to Mrs. Johnson as I want to put us much info in my memoir about her as I can -- she had such a terrific impact on me as a young kid. I mean, I know she must have passed away by now, she was my Mother's age. Anyway, if you can enlighten me with any info on her I'd appreciate it and/or if you know where Tyler is. Take care and hope to hear from you. Warmly,
Bob

Bob Klingensmith was one of my better friends and I apologize to him, his family and my classmates to taking so long to be able to write a comment about him, but let's just say I am web-site-challenged. I had heard from my great brother Chuck that Bob had passed away and I couldn't believe it. He was always so "full-of-life," and had a super sense of humor, was dedicated to the AFJROTC Program (which he and I were very active in), he was "smarter-than-ten-people) and he was a fellow Airman (serving honorably for his nation in the US Air Force) along with me, my brothers Chuck '73 and Bill '75.
I will end by saying that Bob was the epitome of everything you would want in a classmate, a friend and a citizen. God Bless him, as I've kept him in my prayers, and all of his immediate and extended family.

Since I know you are with God Mike, I'll pray that you get to meet my Mother and Father there and that you'll be free of pain now and will keep your family in my prayers. Bob Freniere, Colonel, USAF (Ret.)
Hey Classmate Jim, best friend and fellow Football Manager! I thought I would let y ou now that I've been living up near West Chester University for the past year to be near my second oldest son, Eric, who has just two classes left to obtain his BS in Business and GIS at West Chester University. Send me an email at yangel@aol.com if you get a chance. I know we talked a while back and it would be great to catch up with you. :)
Respectfully,
Bob '72
